The Volunteer Center's Caring Hearts Outstanding Volunteer Dinner & Awards program is presented with our desire to recognize and honor as many of our community heroes as possible - citizens who volunteer selflessly and caringly in an ongoing effort to make our community a better place to live for our citizens.

All qualifying nominees were recognized at our Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Bristol Court Banquets in Mt. Prospect. Additionally, twelve nominees were chosen and recognized as top winners of our Caring Hearts Award. An Awards Selection Committee, composed of involved citizens and community leaders, selected top winners in the following distinct categories:

• Individual Adult (2 winners)
• Individual Senior (2 winners)
• Community Group
• Education
• Individual Youth (2 winners)
• Youth Group
• Corporate Award (2 winners)
• Volunteer Leadership

Thanks to our corporate sponsors, all qualifying nominees are our invited guests at this gala event and nominators attend at a discounted rate. All volunteers in attendance are honored with the presentation of a Certificate of Recognition, small gift, and publication in the program booklet.

The Volunteer Center's twelve top Caring Hearts Award winners received a special gift, a distinguished award to commemorate their accomplishments, community publication, and their inspiring story was shared with the audience.
