Corporate Partnership Workshop Series Rescheduled for March 18, 2010 : Crossing the Corporate Divide: Insider Tips for Non-profits --In partnership with Zurich North America, The Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago (TVC) is offering two professional development workshops on March 18, 2010. The first workshop, "Navigating the Corporate Maze," takes place from 9 a.m. until noon. The second workshop, "Connecting Nonprofits to Corporate Responsibility," takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The fee for each workshop is $30 for TVC member agencies and $60 for non-members. The sessions will be held at Zurich North America in Schaumburg IL. A free continental breakfast will be served during the first session, and lunch will be provided for those attending both sessions. Seating is limited.

Member agencies may attend two workshops at no charge and attend additional workshops at a discounted rate. Workshop registrations and membership fees are now being accepted online.

The 22nd Community Paint-a-thon was held on Saturday, September 12, 2009.

Linda Trilling, Disaster Services Specialist, The Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago, was presented with a Certificate of Achievement for her Commitment to Standards of Excellence in Emergency Management. The certificate was presented to Ms. Trilling by Andrew Velasquez, Illinois Emergency Management (IEMA) Director, on September 3, 2008 in Springfield, IL.
