The energy, excitement, and enthusiasm youth bring to a volunteer position are well known and appreciated by non-profit organizations. However, the organization is not the only one to benefit.

Benefits for youth volunteers:
  • Gain first hand experience of the issues faced everyday in our community
  • Learn how to work with diverse groups of people
  • Develop project management and leadership skills
  • Realize the importance of helping others
  • Stand out on college applications
  • Demonstrates good character to employers

In addition:
Studies have found that people who volunteer in their youth are more likely to volunteer and be civically engaged as adults - meaning they continue to be a positive influence in society their entire lives.
